Twenty years ago, a dentist would reach out to patients via billboards, mailings, and yellow page ads. They engaged with patients on the phone or in person. Now, the game has changed forever. A successful practice now needs to be able to engage with patients online. But how do you accomplish this?
Be Accessible (Be Mobile!)
You should try and be as accessible as possible to potential patients. To do this, we recommend going mobile. Now, more people use a smartphone or tablet to search online than a laptop or desktop. If you don’t have a mobile site, then your website could be too unwieldy and difficult, turning people away in seconds. In addition, Google now does mobile-first indexing, which means a new priority is being placed on sites that are mobile friendly.
Have a Social Media Presence (Be Active Too!)
Another option for engaging patients is through social media. Instead of only communication during appointments, you can now share content with patients (and if they like, comment, or share, their friends as well). You should be active on social media as a way to communicate with patients and keep your office fresh in their minds. You can also let them know about deals or specials you may be running, and even ask for reviews to help bolster your positive mentions online.
We can Help (We Really Can!)
We can redesign your website or build a brand new one to ensure you have a mobile-friendly option. We can also help with your social media engagement. We have a monthly kit that includes three posts a week for a month. The kit is only $99 per month for clients, but free for those with a monthly SEO package.
