One of the most common FAQs we hear from our clients is about video. Should I invest my time and money into a video? Is it worth it? Is it hurting me if I don’t have a video on my website? Do website visitors/potential patients want dentistry information, or something more personal (like an office tour or a meet-the-team piece)?
Video, when done well, can be a great asset to your website. A video can give potential patients an idea of what to expect when they walk through the door of your dental practice. A video can put a patient’s mind at ease when he or she is nervous about needing a root canal. A video can add a breath of fresh air to your website’s look and feel and take the design to the next level.
Video can also be expensive, time consuming, and intimidating. Sometimes, the payoff isn’t worth the effort. (That’s not the case for professional photography, though. That’s always worth it.) It all depends on the purpose you want the video to serve and how you want to incorporate it into your website/brand.
If your video needs are casual (a look inside your dental office/at your team/etc.), we recommend taking a DIY approach. Break out that iPhone, and shoot some fun footage. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but a personal touch goes a long way — especially on social media.
