If I Google your dental practice, will I find reviews on your Google or Facebook page? For many practices, reviews (unless a bad one pops up) are very low on the priority scale. Unfortunately, this can hurt your practice in the long run. There are a number of reasons why your practice needs reviews, particularly if you hope to attract new patients and grow.
People Search for Them
One reason to have reviews: People search for them! Let’s say you have a practice in Dallas. A local search turns up you and a handful of other offices. The searcher now needs to choose which office to make an appointment with. You have no testimonials, while another has several. Even if there are negative ones amid the positive ones, the person is more likely to visit this place than yours. We do the same thing with restaurants and stores, why would a dentist office be any different?
Google factors them into rankings, maybe not as much as they would with local keywords and links, but enough to make a different. This is especially true if you have Google reviews, which we encourage, along with Facebook reviews. While Yelp is popular, they tend to manipulate which ones users can see, holding back positive ones and pushing negative ones forward to maintain “balance.” As a result, we don’t encourage their use. By posting testimonials from satisfied clients, you improve SEO and make your office more attractive to potential patients.
Not sure how to encourage them? We can help! Recently, we did a wonderful interview with one of clients. She explained how her office encourages reviews. In addition, we have had success with our “Have a Cup of Coffee on Us” campaign. If you have any questions or concerns, then please contact our team. We’re here to help!
