As a dental practice, you’re always looking for ways to see your office grow and change. New treatments, new team members, and sometimes, a bigger space. But what about your online presence? When should you consider adding to website? We don’t mean just additional pages and blog content, but when will the addition of a microsite benefit your practice?
The Benefits of a Limited Focus
Your website has a lot to say. You need to introduce people to you, your staff, and your office. You also need to cover all of your services. However, a microsite offers a chance to focus on a specific service. For example, if you have sleep apnea expertise or can place and restore dental implants, then you have a way to go into detail. In addition, if you want to attract more patients for a specific service, this is a great way to help you stand out among the other general dentists in your community.
Finally, let’s talk about SEO. A microsite allows you to build links between your main site and your new one, implement local SEO keywords, and provide new content for Google to crawl and index (which is also why we recommend blogging for the one as well).
Not for Everyone!
Now, not everyone benefits from a microsite. If you have a general practice, but don’t have a specific service you want to attract patients for, then you probably don’t need a new site. Same for a main site that already focuses on a key service or treatment.
